MEET THE COMPANY
Alix Achée hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she trained with multiple competitive studios starting from a young age. She holds a BA in physical theatre with a minor in dance from Louisiana State University. She performed with the LSU Dance Ensemble for two semesters, where she was afforded opportunities such as performing at the American College Dance Association Conference and at the International Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. During her senior year of college, she joined professional contemporary dance company, Of Moving Colors. After graduation, Alix moved to Orlando to continue pursuing her dream of dancing professionally. She feels incredibly grateful to have performed in Universal’s Superstar Parade, Halloween Horror Nights, Electric Daisy Carnival, and to open the new Sesame Street Party Parade at Seaworld this spring. She is thrilled to continue her artistic growth as an addition to Drapinski Dance Company.
Diana Alvarez, currently a dance instructor and choreographer at Orlando International School of Dance, is a 21-year-old junior student at Valencia State College. She received her Associate in Arts degree in general studies and is presently pursuing her bachelor's in business. She has been dancing for 18 years, and has studied many genres including jazz, musical theater, lyrical, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, and contemporary. In addition, she works with Elevate Afterschool where she drives to orange county public schools and teaches dance to elementary and middle school students. She has been certified in teaching Ballet 1 by the director and professor of the National Ballet School of Cuba, Dr. Ramona De Saa and has been trained for over a decade by their alumni, Elaine Garavelo. Diana has performed at venues all over the state of Florida and has earned various titles. She loves sharing her passion for dance and art with all the students she meets.
Nicolette Blake is thrilled to be apart of Drapinski Dance Company! She is a graduate of Oklahoma City University under the artistic direction of Jo Rowan. Nicolette is currently dancing for Universal Studios Orlando and the Walt Disney World Resort. She would like to thank the director for this wonderful opportunity and her friends and family for the love and support!
Jeovanni Bonilla was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Florida. He began dancing at a late age, but instantly fell in love with the art of dance. Jeovanni attended Valencia College, where he graduated with his Associate in Arts in Dance Performance degree under the directions of Lesley Brasseux Rodgers and Dr. Suzanne R. Salapa. He was also a member and Principal Dancer of resident dance company Valencia Dance Theatre. Throughout his training, he has danced in works and worked alongside varies guest artist and companies such as Lehrer Dance, David Parson’s, Alwin Nikolais and mentor Derrick Minter (former Alvin Ailey Dancer). Jeovanni has served as a master class teacher and choreographer for the Valencia Summer Dance Institute, Valencia College’s Choreographers Showcase, Dr. Phillips High School and most recently at DeLand High School. Outside of school hours, he assisted professor and mentor Dr. Suzanne R. Salapa with her Dance for Parkinson’s classes and had the privilege of performing alongside them. Jeovanni continues to work towards becoming a professional choreographer, dancer for a modern company and eventually owning his own company. He is thrilled to be a new addition to Drapinski Dance Company and cannot wait for what adventures lie ahead.
Jazlyn Genna Caing
Jazlyn Caing, born and raised from Orlando, Florida. She works to fulfill the highest expression of herself as a human being and an artist. Jazlyn studied and competed in all genres of dance for 14 years at various studios in the Orlando area. In 2014, Jazlyn then moved to NYC to study at the The Joffrey Ballet School for their Jazz and Contemporary Trainee program, where she experienced composition and concert work. After moving back to Florida, she started teaching and choreographyingnfor competition dancers specializing in jazz, contemporary, improv and stretch/conditioning. Currently, Jazlyn works as tabulator for a national talent competition called, Nexstar, and professionally dances in parades and shows for major entertainment companies such as Universal Studios and SeaWorld Orlando.
Casey DiPersio began dancing at a young age in her hometown, Newport News, Virginia. Her training began at The Academy of Dance and Gymnastics and later continued at Denise Wall's Dance Energy in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2013, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in economics and minoring in dance. Throughout college, Casey continued to enrich her dance career through choreographing and performing in University concerts. She also spent those years performing in multiple productions for SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Upon graduating, she joined Giordano Dance Chicago as a dancer in their second company. There, she received training and direction from Nan Giordano and Homer Bryant. She spent two years at the Smoky Mountain Opry as a dancer and aerialist. The past few years have been with RWS Entertainment Group and Holland America Cruise Lines as a dancer and aerialist. Casey is a 200 hour registered Yoga teacher and currently teaches and choreographs locally at Viera Dance Conservatory.
Macy Dunne was born and raised in Louisiana where she began dancing at an early age. She trained mostly in ballet growing up at Giacobbe Academy of Dance but has learned to love many forms of dance throughout her life. During college, Macy was able to perform with the dance ensemble for four years, was elected president of the Dance Ambassadors at LSU, traveled nationally for three years for the American College Dance Festival, and even traveled to Spain to learn Flamenco dance. Macy graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in Dance. Shortly after she moved to Orlando to pursue her love of dance professionally. Since moving to Orlando, Macy has been grateful to perform at Universal Studios in the Holiday Parade, the Superstar Parade, and as a Beauxbaton in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. She opened the brand new Sesame Street Parade at Seaworld in the spring and is also excited to join Disney in their entertainment department this fall 2019. Macy is grateful for all of her opportunities and is especially excited to join Drapinski Dance Company for its first seaon. Lucas Feliciano is a Jersey boy who started dance late in age. After six months of dancing he got accepted into the University of The Arts in Philadelphia for dance. His dance career started his senior year of high school and has continued since. He moved to Florida in 2015 to follow his dreams of being a performer. While in Florida his dreams have grown to new heights. Let the production begin!
Veronica started her dance training at the age of three in Tucson, Arizona. Over the years she has studied many styles of dance that include ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop and ballroom, and has attended many prestigious schools and intensives such as Ballet Arts, American Ballet Theatre and Radio City Rockettes Summer Intensive. She has performed with Ballet Tucson, Ballet Arizona, ConDanza Contemporary Company and Yow Dance, and has also had opportunities that involved performing in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and touring Europe during the FIFA World Cup ’06 in Berlin. Presently, Veronica performs at both Walt Disney World and the Universal Orlando Resort doing shows and parades for the past 8 years. She is very excited to be a part of Drapinski Dance Company and can’t wait to see what her future holds with this opportunity!
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Caila Gowland has taken master classes and choreography workshops with David Parsons Dance Company and attended classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York City while in high school and college. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Theatre, Dance and Aerial silks and minors in psychology and religious studies from Louisiana State University. She was highly involved throughout college including being President of the Music and Dramatic Arts Student Council, President of Dance Ambassadors, Secretary of Physical Theatre Club, and Treasurer of Legacy Dance Crew. She performed in numerous Dance Concerts, Plays, Operas, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and even the SuperBowl Halftime Show. After moving to Orlando in 2014, she has been performing in a variety of roles at Universal, Disney and Seaworld. She is currently a full time dancer at Universal Studios Superstar and Holiday Parade. She is super excited to be joining Drapinski Dance Company!
Originally from Cleveland, OH, Chelsea Hupalowsky received her BFA in dance from the University of Akron in Akron, OH. She has performed professionally across the country, with companies such as Universal Orlando Resort, The Cirque Magique/Cirque by Night, RWS & Associates, the Sin City Opera, and DaytonContemporary Dance Company II. She has performed contemporary work from Paul Taylor, Alexandra Beller, Larry Keigwin, and Steven McMahon. Aside from performance, Chelsea’s choreography has been recognized nationally, she owns and manages performance brand Concept Hissyfit, and is currently a staff writer for dance publication DancePlug.
Ariel Newman is from Jacksonville, Florida and has been dancing for 19 years. She has trained in various dance styles and has performed in various local shows in Jacksonville. After graduating high school she was a member of danceWORKS, a dance repertory company at Florida State College at Jacksonville. She now lives in Orlando, Florida and dances at Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld.
With more than 24 years of dance experience, Kayla graduated from Oklahoma City University’s Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management program, Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in Dance Management and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. She currently dances at SeaWorld Orlando as a part of the opening cast of the Sesame Street Party Parade!, as well as Universal Orlando in the Superstar Parade. She has also performed in other venues at Universal Orlando, including the opening cast of the Universal Holiday Parade feat. Macy’s and as Sam-I-Am in the Dr. Suess Show- Oh the Stories You’ll Hear. Before this, Kayla spent 2 tours with Sesame Street Live! Make a New Friend, dancing as a swing, dance captain, and with her favorite Sesame Street character, Ernie. During her time on the road she performed in 117 cities, including 9 in Canada, 43 states, and 482 shows. Kayla is super excited to continue to be able to spread her love of dance as a member of Drapinski Dance Company!
